In the wild, getting inspired.
T.L. Bonaddio (normally known as Teresa and “T”) has built her life around books. Hi, that's me. The first chapters of my life took place in a small suburb of Scranton, PA, and at the ripe age of eighteen I moved to Philadelphia, where I earned a BFA in Printmaking/Book Arts from The University of the Arts in 2004. Philly went on to become the setting for the decade of my twenties. I worked at Running Press Book Publishers as an editor, specializing in children’s, teen/YA, and gift books for about five years. When I left there, I continued to freelance in the publishing industry, focusing on editing and writing works for kids and kids-at-heart. At the same time, I worked in a museum, which was full of rare books and manuscripts—not to mention mesmerizing objects, inspiring stories, and fascinating people. Then I moved to Baltimore for one year (in a whirlwind change of life) to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art to advance my skills in illustration and graphic design through the Post-Bacc Graphic Design program. Upon graduating, I ventured back to Philly in 2013 to work in my second life at Running Press as a graphic designer for the kids book imprint. I currently still work there during the day as a Senior Designer, while continuing to freelance at night.
